Have we become so romanticized with money, views, image, likes… that we forgot how to be human in the process.
I was scrolling the other day nothing new, just the usual. Everybody winning. Everybody glowing. Everybody “unbothered.” Or at least that’s what it looked like.
But something felt off.
Because behind every perfect picture is a hundred moments we don’t see. The stress. The doubt. The nights you question everything. The parts of people that don’t fit the aesthetic.
And it made me wonder… when did being seen become more important than being real?
We chase numbers like they mean something about who we are. Followers. Views. Money. Status. Like if we just get enough of it, we’ll finally feel solid. Finally feel enough.
But what happens when you have all that… and still feel empty?
I think somewhere along the way, we started performing life instead of actually living it.
Smiling for the post, but not feeling it.
Posting wins, but hiding losses.
Looking connected, but feeling alone.
And maybe the scariest part is… we got so used to it, it feels normal now.
So I gotta ask!!!!!!!
Are we really living… or just curating a version of life we think people will approve of?
